This time I organized a wedding editorial at Villa Richter in Prague. How do you actually do a classic editorial? You come up with a concept, make a moodboard, and visually adjust everything so that it fits together perfectly.
But my team and I went about it a little differently – more human and realistic.
The main concept of our editorial was the love of our real-life couple, but then also simplicity and minimalism.
For an ideal wedding, all you need is the right person, the right one. And then of course you also need a great location, an elegant dress, beautiful jewelry, a fitting suit, an empathetic makeup artist, original flowers, an experienced photographer, and above all, a good mood.
Fortunately, we had all of that, so all I had to do was take pictures of it all.
I approached the photo shoot in such a way that the result would be a small story, even though it was an editorial.

Villa Richter is an exclusive wedding venue in Prague. It combines great gastronomy, top-notch service and history. Villa Richter is also surrounded by the oldest vineyard in Bohemia, which offers breathtaking views of Prague.
I started shooting editorials in 2020. I held my first one just before the start of the Covid pandemic. At the time, I didn’t really understand the point of such a photo shoot. I just wanted to create and try something new.
A lot has happened since then and my work has moved on quite a bit. In recent years, I have mainly clarified what and for whom I want to photograph the most. I have discovered that I enjoy city weddings in Prague the most. And I also think that this is what I am best at. Even if someone books me for a shorter wedding in the city where I was born, my heart rejoices. I love running with the bride and groom from place to place between trams. I enjoy it when tourists with their cameras disturb us while taking photos. And when we then go among the beautiful Prague architecture for a couple photo shoot, it is a feast for the eyes.
It was an honor to work with such a group of professionals. And I hope to meet some of them at a real wedding next time.
